ENROL IN PREPRIMARY TO YEAR 6
Pre-Primary to Year 6 enrolment
Every child of compulsory school age is required to be enrolled in and attend school. Once enrolment is accepted for Pre-primary, or directly into Years 1-6, there is no need to re-enrol each year. Places are guaranteed for all children of compulsory school age who reside within the local intake area of Piara Waters Primary School.
Enrolments are open all year round. Every day matters, so if you are new to the area, please don’t delay enrolling. It is our priority to get new students into their new class as soon as possible.
If you would like to enrol for Pre-Primary to Year 6, please download and complete the Application for Enrolment form and email it to us, or pick up a hard copy from the school office.
When you make an application for your child you need to make sure that:
- your child’s age entitles them to a place
- your child is a permanent residence of Australia or holds a visa with an approved sub-class.
With your application for enrolment you need to include;
- Your child’s birth certificate, or an extract of birth or a passport.
- Proof of your child’s residential address (eg a rates bill or a utility bill)
- If your child was born outside Australia or is a temporary resident of Australia, you need their passport, visa and travel documents.
You need to tell us whether your child has an Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) immunisation history statement. You will need to provide this to us if your child is offered a place, and ensure your child is up to date with their immunisations.

Pre-Primary re-enrolment
All students must re-enrol/enrol for Pre-Primary. This includes students already enrolled in our Kindergarten program.
Once enrolled in Pre-Primary, enrolment is not required again, until children move to year 7, or change schools.
Students who live in our local intake area are guaranteed a place in pre-primary at their local public school. If your child lives in the Piara Waters Primary School local intake boundary, your application will be accepted, however you do need to submit an application in order to finalise the enrolment process.
If your child DOES NOT live in our local intake area, it is unlikely your application for enrolment for pre-primary will be accepted.
Out-of-boundary applications for 2025 enrolment will be considered in our Kindy and Pre-Primary round one enrolment process on the 19th of July 2024. If there is space, then priority for any out-of-boundary enrolments will be given in the following order;
- applications with siblings currently enrolled at PWPS and living closest to the school
- applications without siblings currently enrolled at PWPS and living closest to the school
Families will be notified if their out-of-boundary Pre-primary application is accepted or not, by the end of August 2024.
