The year 2/3 Extension Writing program got off to a great start today with most students ranking the lesson a 10 out of 10! (It may have had something to do with a chocolate treat to sample and write about using their senses; all in the name of art of course!)
The students brainstormed types of characters that you would expect to see in different genres. They then explored a range of pictures showing different characters and settings to inspire them with ideas for their own story.
The students also explored various models of scenes that they could generate ideas to explain what may be happening in the scene. It was wonderful to see such enthusiasm.
We are delighted we have Mrs Richer, a published author, and extraordinary year 3 teacher to teach our year 2/3 writing extension program this term.
