Today, students in Rooms 10 and 20 will visit Parliament House, to enhance their learning of the year 5 HASS Curriculum. Permission slips and information will be sent home with students at the start of term 4.

Students will catch public transport to and from the excursion.

Students will need to wear their school uniform, appropriate footwear for walking in and a hat. They will need a small backpack with packed lunch, water bottle, clip board and pencil.

There is a social story for Room 10 and Room 20.

Students in the maths extension programs will be able to be selected in our interschool teams in final round of the https://havesumfunonline.com">Have Sum Fun online competition.  A team of four students in years 3, 4, 5 and 6 will compete in this competition.  The term 4 competition is between 21 October and 7 November.

The winning teams are chosen based on accuracy and speed, and so far, this year our year 3, 4 and 6 teams have been placed 1st, 2nd and 1st respectively. Can the Piara Waters teams continue with their fantastic results?

Children who read at home regularly during the year will reach or exceed 150 days of Home Reading during Semester 2. We will be presenting students with their 150 days of Home Reading certificates today in the library, at 2:15pm. Parents are welcome to attend.

Please ensure your child records their home reading and tallies their total days read before bringing their Reading Log to school each Monday so significant milestones can be recognised.
