Year 5 and 6 Interschool Winter CarnivalYear 5 and 6 students have had the opportunity to try out and train for the Interschool Winter carnival that will be held on Monday 30 June. Selected students will then compete against the other schools in the VSSA network in a round-robin style competition. The sports played at the Winter Carnival are:

Running ClubRunning Club is open to all students from Kindergarten to Year 6. Come along and join running club every Tuesday morning in term 2 and 3. Parents and siblings are welcome. 7:45am on the school oval. |

Reading Award CeremonyAll students should be recording home reading in their Reading Logs at least four times each week. Home reading milestones are recognised at either a classroom or school level throughout the year.
Reading Recognition Ceremonies will be held on Wednesday, 4 June and Tuesday, 1 July from 2:00pm – 2:30pm in the library. Parents and caregivers are welcome to attend. |

Kindy to Year 6 Semester 1 Reports AvailableSemester 1 reports for your child/ren will be available for you to download from Connect. You can use the Connect website or the Connect Now app to access your reports. To access reports:

We encourage you to download your reports and save them for your own future reference. If your child leaves Piara Waters Primary School, you may no longer have access to the reports through Connect. This is especially important for Year 6 parents! If you cannot access a printed copy and would like one, please email If the interview box on your child’s report has been ticked, your child’s classroom teacher will make contact with you to arrange a time to meet. NAIDOC Week - Wear Indigenous print or Red, Yellow or Black clothingThroughout the week, we will be recognising NAIDOC Week. NAIDOC week is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and the achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Students will participate in a range of activities throughout the week and are encouraged to wear Indigenous print or Red, Yellow or Black clothing on Friday 4 July. |
